These lanterns can be seen complimenting homes, businesses, campus's, and towns throughout the United States. Each lantern, with a meticulous attention to detail, is hand-made by David John and his team from over one hundred copper pieces that are hand-cut, molded, soldered, and custom finished. The corners of each lantern are constructed of multiple pieces for strength and durability. All glass is double thick and placed into channels that provide easy access to the glass for cleaning or replacement. The lanterns can be enjoyed with you choice of electrification, with one or more electric candles, chimney, or simulated gas burner. Either way you choose to enjoy the light, the lanterns have a full door on one side which allows for easy access. The standard finish on our lanterns is hand-rubbed, which develops a natural patina over time. However, you can choose a hand painted finish or a custom patina for an additional cost. Mounting options include post mount, wall mount, pillar mount, or as a hanging fixture. All wall lanterns that are flush mount utilize a concealed bracket system. Wall lanterns that are not flush mount will use a hand forged iron bracket. Your lantern will be customize for which ever mounting option you decide on. PHILADELPHIA SQUARE LANTERN
The city of Philadelpia began to use this lantern in the 1870's, when the gas mantle was invented. The original was constructed with tin, but because of rusting and heat it was replaced by the "Cast Iron Victorian". Our reproduction is an exact copy of the original.

PHILADELPHIA STREET LIGHT
Also called the "Cast Iron Victorian", this exact copy of the original is made of cast iron and bronze. All casting patterns are made from an original lantern. The top ventilator is copper, and made by us. The globes are hand blown, as were the originals. Brass rope tubing on the sides cover the latch mechanism to allow the top to be raised for access. This lantern is electrified with a bronze simulated gas burner. We also have a small number of original cast iron post left. We recommend using a cast iron post, or aluminum post with this particular light. The post should be about 8.5' to 9' above the ground.

18TH CENTURY LANTERN
This is a reproduction we made of a 6 sided 18th century tin lantern found on a home in Philadelphia.

STEADMAN LANTERN

HAMPTON BAY
This fabulous "British Colonial" style lantern is one of our original designs. The top portion of the light is covered with grass cloth, which adds a marvelous texture. The two candle lights are reflected in the mirrored back. The lantern shown has a beautiful two color painted finish, with gold accents. This is an indoor lantern.

PRAIRIE

YARNALL
This lantern is one of our originals. This design was used on a traditional Bucks County home. This lantern mounts absolutely flush with the wall due to a special concealed bracket that David John designed. The bracket mounts over the electrical box to the wall, then the lantern is attached to the bracket via set screws.

SOLEBURY LANTERN

This hanging lantern has unique glass guards, with copper "buttons" at every joint. It has a down light in the bottom and a four light font.

The original of this lantern was gas and dates back to the late 1800's. It was a street light in England, Scotland, and Wales. The corners are built from solid brass rod. The frog and base is wrought iron.

NICHE LIGHT
This adorable lantern is one of our originals. The smallest size was specifically made to sit on a shelf, as the wires come out of the bottom. The other 2 sizes were made to wall mount. This light has a mirrored back.
